Yesterday Todd and I went to the doctor to have the first ultrasound and we actually saw a little peanut in there!! Most amazing thing ever. And we heard its little heartbeat. I am already in love with this little one and pray God would continue to keep it thriving. Please let it not have deformed head or brain or anything. For the most part it is just neat experiencing this miracle of life.
Back in time: We went through in vitro fertilization and they implanted two embryos on September 2nd. Then I had to wait two excruciating weeks to find out if it worked and we were pregnant. In the meantime I had to start taking progesterone in oil injections and wearing estrogen patches. On September 14, Todd and I took the day off and I had to get my blood taken that morning. Then we met my family: mom, George, Tricia, the girls and Jack, and dad at the Bi-Lo Center to see, "Walking with the Dinosaurs." Well, just before the show was to start about 10 am I get the call. Todd and I head to the lobby and then the nurse tells me that we're pregnant!!
